Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) is a significant public health concern, primarily affecting women of reproductive age. It is defined as an infection of the upper genital tract, including the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries, often resulting from the ascension of pathogenic organisms from the lower genital tract. The most common causative agents include Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and a variety of anaerobic and facultative bacteria [1].
