Background: Amniotic fluid index (AFI) is a crucial parameter for assessing fetal well-being in the third trimester. Borderline AFI (5.1–8.0 cm) poses a diagnostic challenge due to its uncertain association with adverse perinatal outcomes. Objectives: To evaluate the association between borderline AFI in the last trimester and adverse perinatal outcomes, and to compare maternal and fetal outcomes in pregnancies with borderline and normal AFI.
