.Abstract
Background Hypertensive disorders and fetal growth restriction are major contributors to maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality. Early detection during the first trimester using biochemical markers such as pregnancy-associated plasma protein-A (PAPP-A) and β-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-HCG) offers an opportunity to predict adverse pregnancy outcomes. This study aimed to evaluate the association between first-trimester PAPP-A and β-HCG levels with the development of gestational hypertension and fetal growth restriction (FGR).
