Prostate cancer, Dynamic contrast enhanced and Diffusion weighted imagingAbstract
Background : Prostate cancer is one of the most common malignancies in men and
preoperative identification of localized prostate cancer for early detection and staging
are issues of major concern. Its mortality in India is 2.5/100,000. MRI has the
potential to improve the identification of prostate cancer at an early stage.
Aim: To evaluate the role of 3 Tesla Dynamic contrast enhanced and Diffusion weighted
imaging in detection of suspected prostate cancer and assessment of its local extent.
