Background:
Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is one of the most common gynecological complaints in
women of reproductive age. Accurate and timely identification of its underlying cause is
crucial for effective management. Pelvic ultrasound, particularly transvaginal sonography
(TVS), is widely used as a first-line diagnostic tool due to its non-invasive nature,
affordability, and accessibility. This study aimed to assess the diagnostic utility of pelvic
ultrasound in identifying structural causes of AUB and its impact on patient management.
